Our Dance Story

Plié & Plush started with a simple question: what should I do with all these beautiful dance costumes my daughter has outgrown? Like many dance moms, I had bins filled with sparkly, sentimental costumes collecting dust. Sure, some could be resold, but there were plenty I just couldn’t part with—they held too many special memories to give away or toss.

I decided to ask my dance mom tribe—and sure enough, almost everyone said the same thing: they were storing away piles of costumes too! When I shared my idea of turning them into keepsake pillows, it really clicked. Not only was this a way to repurpose something meaningful, but it also became a thoughtful gift option.

These pillows can be sent to grandparents or out-of-town family members who love seeing a reminder of their dancer’s journey. And one day, when our daughters leave for college or start their own chapters, they’ll have something cozy and personal to take with them—a little piece of their dance story stitched into a keepsake they can treasure for years.

That’s how Plié & Plush was born: from a desire to turn cherished memories into something beautiful, useful, and lasting.
